How to organize PDF pages

Three simple steps

    Open your document

    Choose your PDF to open the page panel. Use its thumbnails to see the order and locate the pages you want to change.

    Arrange the pages

    Move pages into order, rotate pages that face the wrong way, or use the page tools to remove unwanted pages. Save a copy first if you may need to reverse a page operation.

  3. 03

    Review the whole document

    Check the first and last page, page orientation and any references to printed page numbers. Download the arranged PDF when it is ready.

A quick check before sharing

A scanned packet can contain a sideways page, a duplicate scan or a cover at the end. Thumbnails make these issues easier to spot than reading the PDF one full page at a time. Work through the document from start to finish after making changes.

Choose a related page operation

Use Merge PDF to bring in pages from separate files. Use Split PDF to turn sections into individual downloads. Use Extract pages in All tools when selected pages should become a single new PDF without changing the original.

Page changes need a final review

Changing page order can make a printed table of contents or page reference inaccurate. Bookmarks, interactive fields and existing digital signatures may also be affected by document changes. Check the exported copy and keep your original for reference.

A few common questions.

Does rotating change the original file?

No. Changes apply to the document in the editor and then to the copy you download. The original file on your device is not directly overwritten by the app.

Can I undo a page operation?

Some page operations are not part of the editor’s annotation undo history. Download a copy before structural changes if you may need to return to the previous version.

Can I combine organization with editing?

Yes. You can arrange pages and then add text, images or annotations in the same editor. Review the export to confirm the final result.
